To the entire Guru community:

It's with a heavy heart that I must inform you that this site, Guild Wars Guru, will be shutting down on July 1st and will remain in Archive Mode. Over the past 11 years, we've become, and continued to remain, the #1 fansite for Guild Wars, and it's all because to you guys. Without such a strong and passionate community, Guru would have never made it this far and so we thank you for that.

And while we will be saying good-bye to our home here, we will continue to host forums for the GW community over at our sister site, Guild Wars 2 Guru. In fact, you are more than welcome to head on over now and begin posting. If you have any threads you'd like to transfer over, now would be the time.

So once again thank you, and especially those that contributed their time and knowledge to make Guru the amazing place it was. We'll see you over at Guild Wars 2 Guru!

If it has already been posted and I missed it forgive me and feel free to move it to where it should be. My idea stems from the fact that guild members can just leave a guild and no record shows up of them leaving. It's a bit of extra work when you can't review who has left because you have to keep a seperate list of members out of game and refer to it constantly. So what I would like to see is a little message in the Status window of the guild same as when someone is kicked or invited saying so and so has left the guild. What would be even better is if the person who left had to give a small reason. Leave a little space to type a few words, so that it would say So and So has left the guild (decided to play WoW instead) something like that. Of course if that reason shows up we know the person who left is a horrible evil person with obvious mental problems but thats another story!
